The Art & Culture Mission of Power Up USA is to empower communities through creative expression, storytelling, and cultural celebration. By providing platforms like the Charlotte Black Film Festival, Queen City Arts Fest, and Carolina Black Film Collective, Power Up USA fosters diverse artistic voices, nurtures talent, and encourages cultural exchange. Our mission is to bridge the gap between art, technology, and community, using creativity as a tool for social change and personal growth. Through film, music, digital art, and performance, we aim to inspire, educate, and uplift underserved communities
The Charlotte Black Film Festival is an annual event that empowers Black artists and showcases a wide range of entertainment content made by and about people of African descent. The festival brings together Black culture enthusiasts, executives and content creators from around the world for three days of screenings, workshops, fashion, comedy shows, exclusive parties and Industry networking.
The Queen City Arts Festival is a vibrant cultural event that celebrates the rich artistic talent and diverse creative expressions within the community. Held in the heart of the city of Charlotte, this festival brings together artists, performers, and art enthusiasts from all walks of life. It features a wide range of activities, including live performances, art exhibits, vendors, and interactive installations, all aimed at showcasing local talent and fostering a sense of community through the arts.
The Carolina Black Film Collective is a dynamic initiative under Power Up USA that brings together Black filmmakers, storytellers, and creatives across the Carolinas. The Collective serves as a hub for collaboration, education, and networking, fostering the growth of emerging and established filmmakers. Through workshops, screenings, and community events, the Carolina Black Film Collective empowers its members to amplify their voices, share diverse narratives, and drive positive change in the film industry and beyond.
The Art & Culture event at The Ritz at Washington Heights, hosted by Power Up USA in the Beatties Ford Opportunity Zone, is a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community empowerment. This event highlights local talent through dynamic film screenings, live performances, and interactive art experiences, designed to inspire and uplift the community. By bringing together diverse voices and cultural expressions, the event aims to foster a deep sense of connection, creativity, and artistic growth within the Beatties Ford Rd. area.
